The College of the Sequoias women’s basketball team followed with an impressive 88–59 victory, controlling the game from start to finish. The Giants opened strong, leading 22–16 early in the contest and extending their advantage to 40–29 by halftime.
Key contributions came from Gabby Brooks (No. 4) and Nyla Anderson (No. 3), who helped set the pace with aggressive play and solid ball movement. COS continued to build its lead in the second half, entering the fourth quarter ahead 56–46.
Izabel Mendez (No. 2) was a major offensive spark, knocking down three three-pointers, while Sydney Chestnut (No. 5) added two more from beyond the arc. Their perimeter shooting proved too much for Reedley to overcome as the Giants pulled away in the final minutes.
The commanding win highlighted COS’ offensive depth and defensive pressure, sealing an 88–59 victory and completing a successful sweep for the Giants. Both teams’ performances reflect the strength and momentum of the COS’ basketball as the season continues.
The next women’s home basketball game is this Saturday, February 7th against Lemoore College at 5 p.m.
