After a series of losses for the Giants they came back in their game against Allan Hancock dominating the Bulldogs 11-4.
Starting off with a strong first inning, pitcher #4, Jerod Smith, only allowed 1 run. The Giants were on fire for their first at bats, being able to go through all 9 batters with 8 being able to get on base, bringing in 6 runs. The Giants and Bulldogs were able to keep each other from scoring up until the bottom of the 4 when with 2 outs #12 ,Walker Selley, hit a single allowing #3, Aiden Medina, to score bringing the score to 7-1. Smith finished pitching in the top of the 6th facing 24 batters, 4 strikeouts with 2 of them looking. The Giants brought in pitcher #29, Zachery Tackett, to close out the inning with a strike out for the Giants.
Swinging their way into the bottom of the 6th, designated hitter #27, Caleb Catalano, hit a line drive for the double down 3rd baseline bringing in another run for the Giants, bringing the score to 10-1. Tackett faced 6 batters overall making the 7th inning short and quick for the Giants, as they made their way into the top of the 8th the Giants brought in pitcher #17, Aiden Bryan, to close the game. Bryan faced 13 batters with 2 strike outs. The Giants finished the game in nine innings winning 11–4.
Our Giants will be playing again at home for a three game series, February 12th, 13th and 14th against Golden West College. Go Giants!
