The spring semester is well underway and you’ve probably noticed how full the parking lots are at College of the Sequoias Visalia and Tulare parking lots. By 11 a.m. in Visalia, most of the lots are full and it can be hard to find a parking spot as you race to class. If you arrive earlier to either campus, around 8 a.m., it is much easier to find a spot. Even as late as 9 a.m., lots can still be empty and it isn’t as hard to find a place to park.
One COS student, Kimberly Avina, says she has noticed the pros and cons about the Visalia campus and the parking situation. Avina says, “What I like is the campus is big but what I don’t like is I can’t find parking and the Tulare one is more calmer, finding parking is quite easy, but I don’t like is that there traffic because of the school nearby”
Other students agree with Avina and say the later they have classes, the harder it is to find parking on both campuses. Emanuel Palos says, “I’ve gone to the Visalia one around 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and there’s not really any parking, so you have to come really early at eight in the morning the one in Tulare it’s a bit the same but your able to find closer parking to the campus”
Students who attend classes on the Tulare campus say the parking is calmer and it is easier to find parking in the morning even spots in the front of the lots.
Marielena Perez is a student who has classes on the Tulare campus and says,“I go to both a.m. and I have a class at 1 p.m. and parking for the 8 a.m. class it’s very easy to find parking. I get front parking then but for the 1 p.m. it is a bit more difficult since parking is way busier, I forgot the 8 a.m. is super good but there a lot of traffic due to a school Mission Oak being right there”
Another student who used to attend classes in Visalia but now goes to Tulare says “The pros are the parking lots are not far away and the campus is not big. The cons would be you need to get there with time because the parking lots kind of run out really quick and then there are a lot of them are for teachers then you end up parking far”
So, COS students no matter which campus you attend for classes, the consensus is, the earlier you get to campus the better spot you’ll get.

The grammar in this article needs to be checked. Know where to use commas and periods. Read it out loud to yourself so you can hear how it sounds before publishing.
