As the final days of December and the New Year quickly approaches, people have began thinking about their past and have started to imagine their futures. For College of the Sequoias students, it’s time to start conspiring over New Year’s resolutions. Resolutions can be about anything, from getting healthier, learning something new, to improving personal finances. Making resolutions helps people begin the year with hope and a plan to do better.
For some students, their goals are solely connected to their education. For COS student, Nikita her main goal is, “Being more focused on my bachelor degree- I want to get my degree, to have more opportunities for the future, so I need to work hard this new year.” Another student Laura adds that she wants to be, “Working hard at school… 2026, for me, is a big challenge for me to reach my goals.”
Other students New Year’s resolutions revolve around being healthy. Gabriel says “Doing exercise and sports training for 360 days are my goals this new year,” He adds “I want to eat healthy and being also healthy all the coming year.” Same goes for Natasha, stating, “Staying healthy, keeping the same weight, keep exercising, and having more quality time with family and friends.”
Although, others take the New Year as a sign for change all around. For Jane, “The priority is finding a part time job to make better my financial situation and keep working hard at school.”
As the New Year rolls in, having a positive resolution helps us start the new year with focus and purpose. From the Campus Journal to you, we hope you have an excellent New Year’s!
