The College of the Sequoias has recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Education Support Services building on the Visalia campus.

Included in the college’s 2022-2026 Five-Year Construction Plan, and originally called the Basic Skills Center, the building is scheduled to be complete by Summer 2023.

Students at COS can find the future site of the building on the West side of campus by the Kaweah building.

“The intended use for this building is housing General Tutoring, the Writing Center, Math Lab, ESL and Language Lab, Access and Ability Center, and more classrooms,” says the 2022 Groundbreaking Agenda.

The school has stated that the new space will be over 21,000 square feet and include a “state-of-the-art variable refrigerant flow mechanical design”. With its unique design, the building will utilize natural sunlight indoors.

Once completed, students and staff can take advantage of the building’s advanced interior space, which will feature flexible and collaborative learning environments, as well as integrated furniture and technology systems.
