November 4th, 2025 marks Election Day for many Californians. On the ballot is one item and one item only, Prop 50. To learn more about the proposition before voting today, make sure to check out Maribel Pasillas-Velasquez’s article on what Prop 50 is here.
There are a few ways to vote in this special election. One way to vote is to drop off your ballot at one of 15 Tulare County’s ballot boxes. The ballot boxes across the county are open everyday, 24/7 until 8 p.m. on election night. Another way to vote is at one of 40 polling places across Tulare County, the polling places are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. til 8 p.m. If you received one, you can also take your mail-in ballot to your local post office and send it in with a stamp. Early voters had the option to send in their mail-in ballots postage free before Election Day. Keep this in mind for the 2026 Primaries coming up in the next year.
Although the voter registration deadline was on October 28th, 2025, there is a chance you can still vote on Election Day if you forgot to register. Same-day voter registration will be available at your local polling place and you will able to register and vote on the same day with a provisional ballot. Once your voter registration is approved, your provisional ballot with be counted.
