This past weekend, on February 2nd, 2025, was the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. The results of the category winners, fashion choices, and even insignificant things like interactions between celebrities caused a huge uproar on social media.

There were many people who had such beautiful outfits on the red carpet such as Cardi B, SZA, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, RAYE, Doechii, and Lady Gaga. While there were beautiful fashion moments on the carpet, there were also unprecedented disasters. Jaden Smith wearing a castle as a headpiece, Bianca Censori wearing a see-through dress with nothing underneath and Green Day doing their first ever glam bot which included lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, vaping. While to Green Day fans the situation was hilarious, others took it very seriously.

The results of the Grammy’s sparked quite a controversy among viewers at home. There are way too many categories to talk about, but the following are some honorable mentions:

Billie Eilish’s 7 Grammy nominations for her album Hit Me Hard and Soft sparked controversy on Grammy’s night. Viewers were angered with Beyonce’s win regarding “Album of the Year” as they expected Eilish to receive that award. The country scene was also not happy with Beyonce winning “Country Album of the Year” because she isn’t necessarily a country artist.

On the other hand, Kendrick Lamar earned a total of 5 Grammys for “Not Like Us,” Doechii became the third woman to win the Grammy for “Best Rap Album,” and Beyonce became the first black woman to win “Best Country Album.”

So many different celebrities, who aren’t seen together usually, were seen interacting with each other. Fans went insane after seeing photos of Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan float around. In the background of the Grammys Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter were seen “hugging it out,” as people are saying, which was a huge deal considering past drama with one another. Beyonce was seen running late with her family right before she got announced to go up on stage, which people found hilarious.

That being said, this year’s Grammy Awards were something special in more ways than one. It will definitely not be forgotten for years to come.
