Laika Petrichor is a student striving to make an impact on her education. After an unsuccessful first year at college she took a year off to discover herself and has come back with renewed determination to graduate as a journalism major. This is her first year writing for the Campus Journal but has prior experience from her high school journalism class and as a contributor for Valley Voice. Laika dreams of moving north to Portland or Seattle using her experience to craft engaging stories that resonate with readers. 

When she’s not working on assignments Laika enjoys reading, fashion, video games, and coffee. She knows most of the cafes in town and is always open to enjoying a latte with friends. Laika hopes journalism will reignite her spark for creative writing so she can finally put some of her ideas on paper.
