Aquilla Cloyd, Campus Profiles Writer
Hi! I am Aquilla Cloyd but my friends call me Quilly. I am the staff writer for the College of Sequoia’s newspaper. I am majoring in marine biology journalism and am in my last semester. Once I get my Associates degree I will be transferring to California State University of Monterey Bay. After college, I would love to work for a non-profit organization specializing in marine biology. My passion for marine biology started from watching documentaries about the fishing industry and how bad it is for marine life. I plan on bringing awareness to marine life through children’s books.
You may see me grabbing an iced coffee at the Grind and enjoying a chat while on campus. I love being out in nature either at the beach or in the mountains. I have a big heart when it comes to animals and have rescued several cats and dogs in this area. I love finding ways to make the earth a better place to live, one way is by using pet-friendly and sustainable products. I have a passion for anything artistic such as DIY projects, being creative with resources, painting, singing, and Halloween makeup. I am determined to finish school, teach others about the environment and ways we can help save our planet
