Yes, you read that right. No Netflix.

After I binged all 12 seasons of Criminal Minds, I felt so unproductive and gross.

Let’s do the math, 12 seasons of 23 episodes each. 276 episodes watched in total that are 44 minutes long. That is 12,144 minutes spent of my life that I will never get back.

12,144 minutes that could have been used to do the homework I claim I never have time to do. Minutes I could’ve used to start the business I’ve been wanting to start or actually be consistent with going to the gym. 12,144 minutes someone who is on their death bed wish they had – that I just wasted effortlessly.

I just thought about how many teenagers spend their free time with their eyes glued to their iPhone screens watching Netflix for hours a day just like I did. The scary thing is that they do it unconsciously. Next thing you know, time flies by and you haven’t done anything.

That’s why I decided to delete the app off my phone and cancel my subscription. It’s scary how someone could get caught up on a show or movie. It distracts you from your reality. I’m not saying that watching a movie here and there is bad. I’m just saying that once we revolve our life around a streaming service, it becomes a problem.

Next time you start watching a show with 13 seasons with hour long episodes- I suggest you think twice.
