COS Maintenance Worker Tests Positive for COVID

Another COS worker has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an email sent out by John Bratsch, COS Dean of Legal Affairs, it was revealed a COS maintenance worker tested positive for COVID-19.

“On Monday, November 2, 2020, we learned one of our employees (Visalia Campus) tested positive for COVID-19. The employee works in Facilities and Maintenance and was last on campus on October 22, 2020.”

Due to privacy laws, the employee can not be identified by COS.

While the email states that the employee’s contact with others was minimal, all who worked within close proximity to the employee have been contacted .

No offices or campus buildings will be shut down due to this development, “because the employee works outdoors, no offices need to be shut down for cleaning.”

This is the second known COS employee to have tested positive for COVID-19, both cases are from Visalia Campus. However, the previous case led to the temporary closure of the Learning Resource Center.
