President Trump and First Lady Test Positive For COVID-19

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19.

Late Thursday night, it was announced Hope Hicks, a close advisor to the President, tested positive for COVID. Trump confirmed this on Twitter and announced he and the First Lady would begin the quarantine process.

Shortly after this announcement, he declared on Twitter he and the First Lady also tested positive for the virus.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” said the President.

White House Spokesman Judd Deere said, “White House Operations collaborates with the Physician to the President and the White House Military Office to ensure all plans and procedures incorporate current CDC guidance and best practices for limiting COVID-19 exposure to the greatest extent possible.”

Seemingly, swift actions have been taken to ensure the safety of those working in the White House and to bring the President and First Lady back to health.

It is speculated that Hicks contracted the virus from a supporter of the President at an event and then infected the President due to close proximity and his lack of a mask, however this is not confirmed.
