Class of 2020 Graduation To Be Held Virtually

Eric Galan, Reporter

The Class of 2020 Graduation will take place Thur. May 21th at 7p.m. The ceremony will be held virtually from students’ homes. Students will be given a link to share with family members and friends to watch the graduation from their homes as well.

President Brent Calvin will be hosting the graduation and announce the name of each graduate from his own computer.

“The [COS ceremony] is the highlight of the year,” President Calvin said. “We hope our virtual broadcast will provide students with an opportunity to celebrate their success with their loved ones.”

Graduates must have filed their application on Feb. 20th and answered the RSVP email back on Apr. 24th. Degrees and diplomas will be mailed out to graduates based on the addresses listed in their Bannerweb accounts.

President Calvin hopes to host a make-up ceremony in August for students if circumstances change over the summer. If not, he wants to invite 2020 graduates to participate in the 2021 ceremony to give them the experience of walking across the stage in front of their family and friends.

Any questions about the ceremony can be answered by calling or texting 559-429-8529.
