Spenser Thomas, Campus Events Writer
“For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake.” – Frederick Douglass
My preferred name is Spenser. I am a campus features writer and a human rights activist. I study English literature and applied mathematics here at COS. I enjoy advocating the equality and rights of my community. My hobbies include knitting, crocheting, and reading. Writing is a passion of mine, but I hope to teach mathematics to help make math as easy for young kids as it was for me. My career so far, and hopefully in the future, involves resource drives for the homeless communities in Visalia and Tulare, and protesting in support of Palestine
