Hello! My name is Margret Abaya, but I just go by Maggie. I was born in Manhattan, New York, and moved to the Central Valley at the age of one. I practically grew up here in Visalia, California. With this being my last semester here at College of the Sequoias, I plan to transfer out to Fresno State University in the Spring semester and finish with my bachelor’s in digital journalism. I have always been interested in media and entertainment. Like many young adults in our generation, I grew up watching TV, YouTube videos and got into social media as a teenager. That is a whole rabbit hole of ideas and creativity to sulk in. I like creating videos and wish to make advertisements as a career one day. I have played around with editing apps and software before, but I only dream to expand my learning. I like to spend my free time with my loved ones, such as family or friends. Learning to balance a life between school, work, and loved ones can be tricky, but ideal to not burning out.
