With midterms right around the corner, many students need to find a quiet place to study. Most do so within the comfort of their own home but those with family or roommates around may not choose that of their environment of choice.
Fortunately, there are many spots on campus where students can flock to.
Kaweah Building balcony
Located on the second floor of the Kaweah building, right by the ESS center, this balcony has plenty of shade, tables, and an overlooking view of the campus.
Kaweah building courtyard
While this area is a little secluded and forgotten, it makes it a perfect place to study for those who are worried about studying near others. It is nestled on the first floor of the Kaweah building where there are no actual seats but you can sit beside a lush planter under 24/7 shade.
The COS library
An obvious option but a fine one. Located on the second floor of the Lodgepole building, this area is a quiet zone tailored for studying students. It is equipped with a large selection of books, printers (for a small fee), and computers for anyone who needs them. Downstairs, there are plenty of staff ready to answer any and all questions a student may have.
While these are only but a few options the Visalia Campus has to offer, don’t be afraid to go out and find your own secret study spots!
