What could make your life easier at the COS Visalia Campus? How about lockers?
Are you on campus for classes and have a backpack full of books? We should only really carry around 10% of our body weight in our backpacks. That said, we should try to carry less on our shoulders.
College of the Sequoias offers services we all probably didn’t know about. If you head over to the Giant Forest building (located in the same building as the bookstore and where you can get your Student I.D.) the student workers can help you start the process of getting a locker. The requirements are simple: you must be enrolled in the current semester, must be caught up with your current tuition fees, and obtain an activity sticker from the activity center to qualify.
If you look at your account, you will see an Activity/Benefits fee of $15 per semester. This cost is included in our tuition fees per semester. The activity sticker includes a number of perks like a merchant discount booklet, entrance to COS Athletics Events, discounts to COS Music and Theatre, lockers, discounted Amtrak tickets, and discounted Apple music.
Knowing how backpacks can affect our lives as students, this would be helpful for disabled students who can utilize the lockers by going through the Access and Ability Center.
The Visalia Campus offers lockers to all students. Many students who were surveyed had no idea about the lockers. This is a convenient service to help enhance your journey while at COS.
It would be a lot more convenient to have a locker to put everything in so you don’t have to carry everything around all day. Now is the time to zoom over to the Giant Forest Building and get yourself a locker!
