COS Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

A COS Learning Resource Center employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an email sent out by John Bratsch, Dean of Human Resources and Legal Affairs, it was disclosed that a COS employee who works evenings in the LRC has tested positive for COVID-19.

“This morning we learned one of our employees (Visalia Campus) has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee works evenings at the Learning Resource Center (LRC) and was last on campus the evening of Wednesday, October 7, 2020.”

It was further revealed that they can not expose the identity of the employee due to privacy laws and employees who worked within close proximity of the infected employee have been contacted.

Due to this recent revelation, the LRC will be closed temporarily.

“The health and well-being of our employees is paramount.  Out of an abundance of caution, we are closing the LRC office immediately and will reopen Saturday, October 10, 2020. While the office is closed, we will clean and disinfect the LRC thoroughly.”

LRC employees will now be working remotely until the reopening of the LRC.
