Anthony Davis is experiencing something none other than Lebron James experienced about ten years ago going from a historically awful franchise to one of the best franchises in the league.

AD spent seven seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, making the playoffs just twice and winning only one playoff series. Much of that had to do with the fact that he played with a bunch of role players and non all stars.

Lebron also spent seven seasons with the Cavs was more successful, leading his team to five straight playoff appearances and advancing to the second round everytime, and even making the finals once.

However, with all the success Lebron still wanted more because him and AD knows the only way you great recognized as a great player is by winning rings.

The difference is Lebron didn’t have anyone significantly older than him who really knew exactly what he was going through.

Anthony Davis has someone like Lebron James. Lebron knows what it’s like to be one of the most talented players of all time but be criticized so harshly for his lack of rings.

Anthony Davis isn’t on Lebron’s level of greatness and criticism yet but he still gets compared to Tim Duncan the greatest power forward of all time.

Fans should appreciate someone like AD rather than someone like Damian Lilard who decided to stay with a losing franchise and take a lot of money. AD wants to win and be one of the greats and everyone should appreciate that

There’s no telling how many rings Anthony Davis will win, but he will go down as one of the best players of all time and will arguably go down as the best power forward of all time. That wouldn’t have happened if he would have just stayed in New Orleans and took a max contract. He decided to win rather than get a lot of money.
