Michelle Carrasco-Larios, Campus Staff Writer
This is Michelle Carrasco-Larios’ first semester at COS and she is currently a Journalism major. This is her first time writing with the COS Campus Journal. Carrasco-Larios’ graduated two months early from Visalia Charter Independent Study high school in 2024. She loves reading, writing, listening to music on full blast, animals, and is a licensed hunter for archery season. Originally, she wanted to study to become a Veterinarian but unfortunately those classes are no longer available. So, Carrasco-Larios’ went with her 2nd choice, journalism. Becoming a veterinarian or a writer were two of her biggest dreams growing up. She has always had a soft spot for animals, there wasn’t a day where she wasn’t bringing home a stray cat or a lost dog. Yet in middle school and high school she loved getting essays as her assignments! Writing for the Journal is going to be an adjustment, but she hopes to do her best and just have fun with it and get to know everyone on the team.
