This past weekend, College of the Sequoias cheer team took part in the USA Collegiate Championship in sunny Anaheim, California. Over the weekend, the cheerleaders competed in several different events including the College Game Day Fight Song event and the College Band Chant event. The Giants cheer team scored 5th and 4th place respectively in those events.
While the COS cheer team is fierce on their own accord, their competition was equally as strong. The cheer team’s biggest competitors came from all over the west coast, and were from 4-year universities like, the University of California, San Diego, the University of Idaho, the University of Colorado, and New Mexico State University.
Congratulations to the COS cheerleaders on becoming National winners! What a GIANT accomplishment for COS!
