Another victory for the Giants! In a game with complete dominance of our Giants over the West Hill Falcons, the team adds another victory that reassures their great momentum. As soon as the match started, both teams started with an aggressive, frontal game-plan that made all the players go back and forth quickly. However, as timed ticked by, the Giants quickly took control of the game and left the Falcons unable to react.
When attacking, the Giants were lethal, thanks to quick passing sequences, nice movements near the basket as well as the outstanding accuracy of Davis White when doing long throws. Moreover, they were really sharp at doing offensive rebounds this past Saturday. The few chances that West Hills had to attack were quickly dissolved by the solid defense of the Giants. With our number 10, Cameron Kelly leading during these instances, the Giants were doing an almost perfect job at blocking, stealing and transitioning from defense to attack in a blink. In fact, it was through these transitions that the Giants made most of their points. By halftime, the Giants were finishing with 59 points while the Falcons stood with 31 and without knowing how to counter the suffocating pace of the Giants.
When the third quarter started, everything was going exceptionally. The Giants had absolute dominance of the game. Although the Falcons had nice lapses where Deandre Johnson and his teammates were pressing hard, they never found the key to break the iron defense of the Giants. Moreover, it seemed like the Giants had fully replenished their energy during halftime, because in the last quarter they were more vertical in their game and some of the players made amazing dunks. As the game was nearing the end, the Giants kept their fire ablaze while the Falcons scrambled to find a nice spot near the ring to throw the ball. Finally, the match ended with a result of 110-51 in favor of the mighty Giants!
After this victory, the Giants reassured their great momentum and extended their long winning streak to eleven victories. This next Wednesday Giants will face Reedley College, where they will try to avoid a defeat once again!
