College of Sequoias Men’s Soccer Team tied their third game straight Tuesday afternoon against the Taft Cougars. The final score of the game was 0-0.
The Giants kicked off the first half strong, having a good defense, and passing well to one another. Keeping up the high energy, the Giants fought off the Cougars from putting any score on the board. Having amazing saves on both ends of the field, the Giants defense and goalie Zachary Ramirez held the game at 0-0.
Coming out of half time the Giants were playing with more caution. The second half seemed to get the best of the Giants, losing their drive to make plays, the team’s confidence was down.
Trying to finish the game strong, the Giants started taking a few shots but fell short in the end adding another tie to their season.
“Offensively we need to be more deadly on the top third. We’ve been doing good although it’s been resulting in ties but ties aren’t necessarily bad. Our second half speech from our coach turned up our energy which turned our momentum around, our energy changed, and we did the best we could to change the outcome of our second half.” stated Giants captain Yahir Ramos.
