October 23rd, 2024 was College of the Sequoias “Lunch & Learn” event. The event featured free lunch for attendees, a live Q&A and was attended by several Law Enforcement professionals and many students. Key attendees like Hanford’s Chief of Police Stephanie Huddleston and Michele Brock, the Provost of COS Hanford were highlighted at the event.
The event offered networking and job opportunities for students interested in the field of Administrative Justice. The luncheon kicked off with an inspiring address delivered by Provost Brock stating that, “My heart smiles when I come into rooms like this, because it is really about change, it’s about tomorrow and it’s about what we need to get there from here, and that’s exactly what today is about…” Provost Brock’s speech was met with uproars of applause, and soon after the working professionals began explaining their jobs.
The program ended with students being allowed to ask the various professionals questions about the field they were interested in and concluded with a photo of all the attendees. The Administrative Justice program is perfect for students who are looking for a career in either Law Enforcement or Corrections.
