College of the Sequoias Women’s Soccer team hosted the Fresno City Rams Tuesday afternoon, in a game which both defenses stood out. In the beginning of the game, the Giants came out aggressively, pushing the ball early, but the Rams defense wouldn’t budge. Both teams were going back and forth shooting the ball as both goalies stood their ground. The Giants came up short on all three first half shots, however the Rams snuck a goal past the Giants ending the first half 0-1.
Going into the second half, the Giants didn’t have any momentum on their offense, but their defense held strong. With 12 minutes remaining, the Rams put the final nail in the coffin with a final score of 0-2 making the Giants record 4-5-4.
Women’s Soccer hopes to bounce back next week as the team heads to Lemoore to take on the West Hills Golden Eagles.
