The start of the semester can be quite pricey with textbook requirements, school supplies, and any other expenses you have outside of studies. Don’t add to those expenses by racking up parking citations from the campus police department. Students at College of the Sequoias will need to purchase a parking permit or daily pass by Monday, August 26, 2024.
The permit costs $25 and is good for the whole semester. Relatives of the same household attending COS can get an additional parking permit for a reduced price of $10. Students can purchase their permit online via the website:

Daily passes cost $2 per day and can be purchased at the permit machines located in every COS parking lot. Keep in mind that these machines only accept single-dollar bills, and no change is given. You can use credit and debit cards to pay as well. Another purchase alternative for daily passes is through the “Passport Parking” app.
The COS parking permit is virtual, meaning there is no sticker needed to attach to the vehicle. The permit will be tied to your license plate number. Enforcement hours will be from Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Parking permits are not required on weekends and holidays.
Permit refunds are allowed with certain stipulations. For instance, if you drop all your classes within two weeks of purchase and not later than four weeks from the start of the semester, you are eligible for a refund. To request a refund, contact the campus police department at (559) 730-3999 or visit their office on the Visalia campus. Their office hours are from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bills are a pain to deal with, but parking tickets are an unnecessary annoyance. Buy the permit and dodge the ticket!
