With spring break officially over, a very important period begins for many students pursuing careers in healthcare. Until April 17th, students who meet the requirements (detailed in the link below) can enroll in College of the Sequoia’s Paramedic Program to demonstrate EMT training, prepare for advanced exams, and even gain connections to employment opportunities. The program itself will be starting on June 18th.
‘If you’re going into EMT programs and haven’t yet taken your Paramedic Entrance Exam, there will be testing at the Visalia campus on April 8th from 1:00 pm-4:30 pm, and at the Hanford campus on April 12th from 8:30 am-12:00 pm. Students are encouraged to view the study guide provided and prepare for questions regarding Anatomy and Physiology, Math, Reading Comprehension, and more.
If you’re looking for more direct support regarding the field of healthcare at COS, check out the Health Science Open House on April 10th, 12 pm-1 pm in Hospital Rock Bldg. Room 133, and from 4 pm-5 pm on Zoom. Students are encouraged to visit to learn more about programs, degrees, and certifications in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy Tech, EMT, Rehab Aid, and more. You might even have a chance at winning a prize or raffle.
