The 559 Fights promotion recently had an event titled “559 Fights #91” held at the Visalia Convention Center. It featured three title fights and the third MMA bout of reality television star Biniyam Shibre, most notably from TLC’s “90 Day Fiance”. The seats were packed with MMA fans and fans of the reality television show alike, with many people flocking over from miles to get a chance to meet the Ethiopian MMA hopeful.

The fights were great all across the board, with “nonstop action” as the 559 Fights promoters like to call it. The fight card featured fighters from all over the state of California, from Eureka all the way to Orange the state of California was definitely well represented as a whole at the 559 Fights 91 event.

With a big victory to propel his record to 3-0 in the amateur scene, Shibre is definitely well on his way to attaining a professional contract through some organization. If you missed Shibre in his matchup this past Friday, you are in luck! The MMA starlet has another matchup scheduled underneath the 559 Fights promotion here at the Visalia Convention Center once again on December 17th, where he will fight an opponent to be announced.

Due to the great people at 559 Fights, I was able to get an interview in with Featherweight fighter Jonathan Vorhies and his road to a title shot. If you would like to take a look at the interview, it will be located on my personal Instagram page!

Two fighters in the area were fighting in front of a home crowd in Quentin Armstrong and Jonathan Vorhies, who both did not have the best of luck in their matchups despite their best efforts.
