On October 20th Netflix Employees were chanting “Team Trans” outside the Netflix corporate office in Los Angeles in protest of Dave Chapelles recent stand-up special “The Closer”.

Those who have not watched this series on Netflix are unaware that Chapelle’s show promotes bigotry against transgender people.

Even workers who worked remotely from home protested by calling out and closing their computers.

Just like any other protest there was also a counter protest some with posters saying, “Netflix don’t cancel free speech”.

During the protest Netflix made it clear they supported the walkout stating “We respect the decision of any employee who chooses to walk out and recognize we have much more work to do both within Netflix and in our content.”
