As the days get chillier, leaves change color and students cram in study sessions for midterms; fall is officially upon us. While finals are right around the corner, students aren’t just studying but also making time for watching their favorite nostalgic fall films.
Despite students red-shot stress levels rising over grades, it’s important to take some time to enjoy the cooler days and curl up in a warm blanket and watch cozy fall films. Older and nostalgic films from the late 80s to the early 2000s are popular among College of the Seqouia students.
As we interviewed students around the campus, one movie that COS students reminisce about is Twilight, a 2008 romantic-fantasy taking place in Forks, Washington.
COS student Katie says, “I just binged watched the entire series the other day, the movies just give the most fall feelings”. She adds, “Gilmore Girls is something I also like watching during this season.”
Although Katie and many other students mention the Twilight movies as a fall staple, other notable movies brought up by students included:, Little Women (2019), Good Will Hunting, When Harry Met Sally, and Dead Poets Society. As midterms are finishing up, students watch these films to relax and destress and escape the pressures of the semester.
