Arianna Kennedy is the Director of Admissions and Records here at College of the Sequoias. Kennedy oversees students’ records, recruits new students, evaluates potential students, and manages the comprehensive admissions process. Kennedy also serves as a point of contact for newly enrolled students, providing both information and comfort when needed. Her goal is to move up to either the President or Vice President of a college or university. She has been at COS for 3 years, bringing 9 years of experience in the field of Admissions and Records.
Before Kennedy became the Director of Admissions and Records, she initially aspired to be a therapist after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in psychology. After thinking about her options, she opted to explore education. Kennedy got a job at a junior college and wanted to have insightful conversations with kids to help them and to see them for who they are. This catapulted her into the field of Professional Clinical Counseling to become a Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC).
Kennedy was born in Escalon, California and she loves to travel. Kennedy currently has been to five countries and her goal is to return to Europe next summer. As an animal lover, she has three cats and one dog. Kennedy’s super power is sleeping and she is a major foodie who wants to expand her palate. Kennedy is also involved with the A2MEND/BSTARS club here on campus.
A piece of advice Kennedy shared is “Be true to yourself and ask for help! It is essential to recognize that there are people here at COS who want to help you, but you must also be willing to help yourself. If you ask and reach out, we will have your back! Also, being true to yourself and standing in your truth can only lead you to the best version of yourself! You matter.”
Arianna Kennedy is located in the Sequoia building in room 107.
