The Giants are riding high after their big win against San Jose Community College this past week. The Giants are now 2-0 in road games this year. Not much action in the first quarter for both teams, but that changed in the second quarter. Early in the second quarter the Giants struck first as Payton Faker found his trusty receiver Dontae Gentles in the back of the end zone for a five-yard touchdown. The Jaguars quickly answered back as they evened the score up at seven, after these quick touchdowns there wasn’t any other scoring in the first half.
Starting the second half, it took the Giants only 4 plays to get in the end zone. Running back Mookie Gosby ran 64 yards for a Giants touchdown, and about five minutes later the Giants found the end zone yet again. This time Faker found receiver O’Bryan Flaniga for a 17-yard touchdown pass. In the fourth quarter Faker hooked up with Flaniga yet. this time for a 37-yard pass. Faker finished with over 300 yards in the air with three touchdowns, running back Jahkylle Smith led the Giants with 91 rushing yards and running back Mookie Gosby also had 85 yards on the ground. The Giants offense was in a groove all game and the team finished with 489 yards of total offense. The Giants defense was a key factor as well. The Giants defense had five sacks on the game, along with seven tackles for loss and one interception from defensive back Josiah Paaga.
