The Giants kicked off their home opener this past weekend against San Francisco City College at Sequoias Stadium, where they lost in the final seconds of the game 24-21.
The Giants and the Rams were back and forth all game, the first half was low scoring with the Giants finding the end zone with just ten seconds left in the first half where Payton Faker found his receiver Marshel Sanders for an eight-yard touchdown pass. Faker would throw two more touchdown passes in the second half, a seven-yard pass to tight end Manuel Murillo, and a 48-yard pass to receiver Janveer Singh. Faker would finish with over 400 yards passing on the day with three passing touchdowns, receiver Dontae Gentles led the Giants in receiving with twelve catches for 158 receiving yards, and running back Jahkylle Smith finished with 63 rushing yards on 17 attempts.
The Giants head north this week looking to bounce back against the Jaguars of San Jose Community College on September 13th at 6 p.m.
