A Stolen Life: A Memoir Written By Jaycee Lee Dugard
A Stolen Life is based on the true experiences of Jaycee Lee Dugard. It was published on July 12 2011. She wrote the book herself, and it is 314 pages long. According to audible.com, this book has 4.4/5.0 stars. The genres are true crime and biography. This book goes into detail about the day she was kidnapped, and her 18 years in captivity. This is a great read because of the inspiring story. Her book shows how truly strong she was and still is today. She dealt with a lot, mainly with trying to stay alive and coping with her 18 years in captivity. This book has been a favorite of mine for a while, and it is amazing to see how far the author has come today and how many people she has helped who have had similar experiences as her. There are some pretty tragic events that occured in her life that the book goes into detail about. Jaycee Lee Dugard is truly an inspiring, strong woman.
